For what will be remembered that the new iPhone in a few hours will be unveiled at WWDC ? For the new screen? The new camera? The video chat? Multi-tasking? In fact, many users would be content with something much more mundane: a battery worthy of a smartphone was born in 2010.
Agree a little 'special effects do not spoil anything, and then Apple users like to be surprised by the pampering of Jobs and company. But now it is (also) a little 'concreteness.
The hope, then, is that in Cupertino have addressed head-on the problem of 'battery life, an issue that plagues most users of smartphones assetatissimi last generation, but for iPhoner is pretty much a nightmare. With a full charge, and the 'iPhone 3G and 3G can not complete the day, even with moderate use.
The gap with the competition is pretty obvious if we think that the Blackberry Bold comes to touch the 3 days of full operation and that Android terminals (those closest to the iPhone performance) exceeds at least the day. Thus, one can reasonably say that it is on this front is that Apple will play the trust of the public, and especially the business (which now represents 40% of users iPhone).
Personally I am optimistic, and not because of what I could see from the photos stolen from Gizmodo (a larger battery of 15% may not be sufficient if, as appears likely, the new iPhone will have on his shoulders a heavier baggage of hardware resources). To reassure you more than anything else out of the ' iPad , device and has 10 hours of battery life Apple has shown that even care about the energy problem.
Of course, argue the most attentive, the iPad can count on two batteries alone are larger del'iPhone. Very true, but beyond the size it is comforting to know that - thanks to the new A4 processor - Apple has been able to optimize the relationship between performance and consumption.
That same processor is used on the new iPhone or not does not matter at this point, the road is now marked.
